Hey there, I'm Candace! I'm the owner & creative force behind Darb Cake Designs. I started Darb in 2018 after moving back to CO from CA. I recieved my degree in pastry in Denver as well as a degree in hospitality in which I began my career in hotels and started to climb the corporate ladder. What does any of this have to do with Darb? Well, to put it simply, it's how I figured out that I needed to create Darb Cake Designs. After working in hotels for 5 years I just couldn't do the "corporate hustle" anymore (and let me tell you it's nothing like the actual hustle from the 70's because that's a good time). I decided that it was time to stop talking about my pipe dream and actually do it. So here we are! I know what you are thinking, this chick is no Carrie Bradshaw on the keys but hey, now you know the story of the crazy lady behind your stunning cake.
